I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
