19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev won his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid season, winning just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the American major.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in particular - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and finally separating with long-term mentor Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's initial trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface after spring of that year.
Success also means the Russian has achieved twenty-one championships at 21 various events.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a title is especially meaningful," commented ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six championship matches, including in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had prompted some to wonder if his ability to play at the elite level was over.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in the last few weeks, making an effort to approach the net and compete aggressively, backed up by an improved serve.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, taking 4 of the final five games to go ahead.
Both players traded service breaks in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his maiden professional title, gained dominance to force a final set.
The opponent saved four early break points in a close third set before the Russian broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned victory with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to control a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
